Knowing our wonderful GOP here in state, they probably held something of his hostage saying they won't give it back until the landlord agrees to a deal.

"Shortridge has said the party was paying too much and had too much space for its needs." WOW, one would think that the party that criticizes home-owners in foreclosure because they "bought too big" would have realized a little sooner in their lease that THEY had too much space. And to place the blame on the landlord, when they knew in advance how much the rent was??? Ethics, morals, personal responsibility: are those foreign concepts to the GOP higher-ups?

Now it would be nice if the Republicans could come to an agreement with the taxpayers of MN to pay off the $6Billion deficit that TPaw racked up as Governor.

Unless it involves cash upfront, their landlord is a fool.

"Shortridge has said the party was paying too much and had too much space for its needs. The GOP has almost two years remaining on its lease." ---------------------- Isn't that called living beyond your means and buying more than you could afford?

I would hope that "deal" includes PAYING YOUR RENT!!!!Seriously, this couldn't be more ironic. A group of people hell bent on getting rid of any sort of social program and who continuously lambast people who don't stay within their means. They campaign on fiscal responsibility all the while they can't pay their own bills and fall behind on their rent. You can't make this stuff up...

The last laugh will come when the GOP raises the landlord's property taxes after stiffing him on the rent. Their real eviction comes in November.
