So if nannysota requires E15 and it ruins my engine is the state responsible for any repairs and costs associated with being without a vehicle?

"I think this is outrageous," he said. "The government is telling consumers to use a product that the manufacturer of their car says will ... void the warranty." - And since when, Congressman, does government care about the individual's rights? We're talking control by Central Planning here. Get with the program.

Ethanol destroys seals, gaskets, and specifically carburetor components on ALL gasoline engines especially small engines AKA lawnmowers, weed wackers, chainsaws, etc...DO NOT use "E10" or worse in your vehicles or motorized equipment...it's life is cut down substantially...find a station that offers ethanol free gasoline and save your money!

Where's my E-85 compatible high mpg hybrid? That's what I want: to burn as little oil as possible. If they'd make an E-85 prius, I'd buy it. Or why not switch to running liquefied natural gas? it's $2 now and burns clean.

E15 = good for corn farmers. BUT for the same car, how many grams of CO2 per mile? The EPA knows this, how does it differ from straight gasoline to E15 which needs to burn more per mile???? - - davehoug@comcast.net

selfmade - Then how do you explain my 95 Buick with 204,000 miles, 95 Chev pick-up with 235,000 miles, and 05 Chev pick-up with 75,000 miles, all burning ethanol-blended fuel without any of the problems you describe?
