Central Florida's Josh Robinson ran the fastest 40 at the combine, and the Vikings were happy to draft him 66th overall.

Well Mr Robinson feels pretty good about himself. Hope it transfers to playmaking. That kind of speed is pretty rarified air. He's gonna need it in the NFC north.

I think that the Vikes wanted Trumaine Johnson but was beaten to it by one pick by the Rams. I like this pick, not for just the straight away speed, but the recovery speed the ball and his breaks to the ball. Improve on his techniques and he will be good. He will need it to cover all those speedy receivers in the NFC Central. Good pick!

Wish the Vikes didn't trade that 4th round pick (98th overall). Could have used that to draft Lamar Miller (4.4 speed at 5'11" & 212 lbs), but they don't get to pick again until 118. That's 52 picks after their last one at 66. Miller would be insurance for both AP and Toby as both are coming off knee surgeries.

Yeah right. They say the SAME things every year no matter who they draft. Get ready fellow purple homers for the same old same old headlines and tired stories about how - insert name here - "He was the player we wanted and a steal at" - insert draft number here. Better yet how about the good old lie that "He will make an immediate impact" and "He is eager and ready to start contributing right away. What a complete and utter farce but yet they try and hoodwink the homers every year because ticket sales continue to drop due to the viking's second (and counting) consecutive last place finish last season in the NFC North Division.

Best pick so far? Rick Spielman as GM. Wow! Great job, Rick.

The consensus is this guy is somewhat of a CB project at this level, but you can coach corner technique, you can't coach blinding speed. Should be a potent addition to our return game.

This guy has all the physical tools to be a great CB; hopefully Frazier and co. can coach him to be a solid contributor for us.

ryantonApr. 27, 1211:18 PM "I think that the Vikes wanted Trumaine Johnson but was beaten to it by one pick by the Rams." If Spielman had a preference for Johnson (or Robinson), he had plenty of picks that he could have traded away to move up and get him, just like he traded up to get Smith. No, I think for once we can take him at his word: he would have been equally happy with either of them.

Someone is going to quibble about four-one hundredths of a second. Get serious.
