How many NFL mock drafts does it take before one's head explodes into a pile of draft-day clich├ęs that sound like a mixture of Herm Edwards and Mel Kiper Jr.?

Here's what would make me happy... Vikings trade (#3) to the Buccaneers for (#5, #69, #101), if you look at the draft value chart the Buccaneers would be getting the upper on this trade, plus they end up landing the player they want in Trent Richardson. This will allow the Vikings to still get Matt Kalil @ #5 then... TRADE (#35, #69, #101) to the Bengals for #17. The Vikings get a mild upper hand on this trade but, the Bengals get some much needed picks to surround Andy Dalton with more weapons. It's not that the Vikings don't need more picks but, with this trade they can get Michael Floyd thus giving Christian Ponder blind side protection for the next decade plus and a big time target for him to throw to. look at the trades... they work out for all parties involved and for the Vikings trade back into the 1st for Floyd they're really only giving up their 2nd round pick.

Mark Craig's draft analysis has about as much insight as a "Paul Allen" type vikings game-day prediction which is never correct and is always laden with a built-in homeristic bias.

Whoa Nellie! A piece about the draft with a modicum of wit to it! Nice job Mark. I can't vouch for the value of your analysis because I actually don't spend more than 30 seconds from Jan.-April analyzing the draft, I would much rather have a life.

Everyone assumes that the Rams will take Blackmon. I predict they draft the best available defensive lineman on their board. Maybe Cox. Fisher tends to build the lines first. The Rams have the first pick in the second round, and they can use that on a wide receiver.

Trade A. Peterson to the Broncos for their #25.. Draft Trent Richardson RB @ 3, boom you got 6 years younger at RB and a healthy ACL, plus cap relief.. Draft Mike Williams as your tackle and get a receiver in the 2nd round!!!! PERFECT! You might even get a first and second for Peterson?

I'd like to see a bidding war for the right to pick Richardson at #3 between the Browns,Bucs and Rams. It would cost the Browns both of their #1s,the Bucs their #1,2&3, and the Rams their #1 and both their 2's.However regardles of where we pic I'd like to se us take Gilmore CB with our first pic.We need size in this division.

I predict that the Vikings trade down to the 7-10 range, and select Riley Reiff. While Kalil is considered to be the overall better tackle, Reiff is the better run blocker. This pairs him with Loadholt. The Vikings have been loading up on running backs and fullbacks. The Vikings are going smashmouth!!!
