UNITEDHEALTH GROUP INC.
Stephen Hemsley, president, CEO
Back in the olden days,(1950s&60s) the CEOs pay was only 30 times as great as the average worker working for them. How times have changed.
Not surprising United Health and it's CEO make so much money -- they won't insure people like me because I have a pre-existing condition. When the house stacks the deck they can't lose.
How disgusting, Mr. Hemsley.
I can't afford to pay your salary.
thank goodness obama's health care law stops this obscene pay rate to health care CEOs (WHat, wait a minute -- it does not do that! Then what exactly does it do?)
I'll bet it costs lots of money to protect all that money. The question becomes what on earth do you do with it?
Gotta love those American non profits. I'm sure this has no impact on healthcare costs, right Romney?????
Profiteering from health care is the single biggest problem confronting our nation's economy. Every single industry is at a terrible disadvantage against their competitors in other countries due to the absurdly high cost of providing health insurance to US workers. The simple fact that no one at a hospital can tell you what ANY procedure actually costs will sound like a crazy joke to people in the distant future. Some day we are going to have to break the chain connecting profit motive and delivery of health care in the US. Unfortunately it's probably going to take a complete meltdown of our economy before people will be ready to do it.
How on earth is anyone worth this salary? No wonder Health care is absurdly expensive.
The Bill Macguire traction is alive and well at UH.
