CAN WE PLEASE STOP WITH THE MISINFORMATION?!? THE MINNESOTA VIKINGS ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY IN THE METRODOME. THEY WANT TO INCREASE THEIR ABILITY TO MAKE MONEY. THEY ARE NOT, I REPEAT, NOT LOSING MONEY AT THE DOME. THE BURDEN IS ON THE VIKINGS TO JUSTIFY WHY, I REPEAT, WHY THEY NEEEEEEED A PUBLIC SUBSIDY. THE TRUTH IS THAT THEY DO NOT NEEEEED PUBLIC MONEY. THEY CAN ACTUALLY AFFORD TO PAY FOR IT THEMSELVES.

Everyone keeps saying this isn't extortion, but 'reality.' And to have a private business waltz into town to throw it's weight around while the honest taxpayer/citizens of the state have had little influence on the process nor a chance to even express their desire to vote on it is so much of an expression of a good-old-boy's club it stinks. Let AH or Shakopee or whomever wants to build it with however they want to finance it as long as the majority of people living in that area are happy with the outcome and let this ride. On the other hand if there are no sites willing to give up all the other things that they have been asking for over the past years, then maybe the team needs to realize that and like any other business make that decision based on a business model, not threats (oh, sorry, none of these were threats, were they, since we were told they weren't.) There is way less money to go around for all the needs in this community and state. There just isn't, so choose wisely where the limited pot goes.

It's not reality. It's a threat. The other owners would never give up this market, as their shared revenue would drop. LA is reserved for expansion teams. Goodell himself even said it.

No Paz, you got it wrong kid. The Vikings will move if they do not get a new stadium. That's not a fact that anyone needs to prove it's one we'll all live soon enough. If the Vikes mean nothing to you than nothing to lose right? But when their gone their gone, and so are the thousands of jobs a stadium would have meant. Ziggy is talking nearly $500 of his own money to help build that stadium and provide those jobs. If you think someone else is stepping in and providing that kind of cash to put people back to work in Minnesota. You're wrong.

Uh, so I guess the morale of the story is don't come up with hundreds of millions of dollars for an expansion team in a small market because they will stink. I think the Vikings have been showing us that for 50 years.

What are all you people going to complain about once the Vikings leave? National defense? The deficit? Global warming? Mom charging you rent for your basement bedroom? Get a life...if you can.

Funny, millions of Minnesotans enjoy the Vikings and can watch all 20 games FREE on basic TV, no need for cable or anything! How many Minnesotans enjoy state parks, or the guthrie, etc? The Vikings are extremely important to the quality of life of a majority of Minnesotans (many of which may not even have internet connections to post on sites like this). Zygi is injecting $500 of his own money into our economy, and we are shooing him away? He has been a stand-up owner and has paid a ton of money to bring in quality players ( way more than what can be said about the Pohlads who are printing money at target field and are already lowering payroll, and also tried to contract our team). Does Zygi stand to profit form a new stadium, yes. But the truth is, he is not making near as much money in MN as he stands to make in LA, yet he wants to keep the team here. No one asked me if I wanted to pay $100 million to build the Guthrie, but even though 99 percent of Minnesotans will never go there, it makes our state a better place. Those who want the vikings to move are ignorant, and are definitely not in the majority!

Not a threat? The whole taxpayer funded stadium scam RELIES on threats and extortion, on playing to our emotions so we'll shell out hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars on a playground for millionaires and billionaires. You got one thing right, put this to a vote. That way you know who to send packing in November.

I think it is absolutely perfect. Look at the record of last years Vikings so proudly displayed on the right hand side of this page while they tell us we might get stuck with a bunch of losers in a new expansion franchise.
