Given his age, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. He seems to be driven to improve, unlike some of his knucklehead teammates that have been in the league for at least 3-4 years and hopefully will be employed by other teams next year.

Coach Adelman's last comment is telling. "If you can't do it [improve the team] in free agency, if you can't do it with trades..." He apparently harbors no illusions of the capabilities of the Timberwolves front office.

Hopefully Williams will work as hard as Love did last offseason. This is really what he needs, I've always believed that his talents are best suited to play the 3 also, but he clearly has some work to do. Come back lean, quick and strong, and now he can be played next to Love and Pek and we have a serious front line. Add in Rubio and a TBD 2 guard and the Wolves are a playoff team next season.

I admit I was pulling for the Wolves to draft Williams. I also now admit that may have been a mistake. He's been a disappointment in my book, but still have hope that he can turn into a quality NBA player. Very young with talent so plenty of hope that with time and hard work he will be a solid player.
