Don't rule out a similiar script if the Vikings go west as well.

You're right and it's sad. And they are gone no question.

Yeah, and their colors will nearly match as well. What a joke. White Earth Tribe is willing to solve this entire cluster.... and of course the yo-yo's at the capitol don't have the guts to even explore it.

Here come the scare tactics! See ya Vikings! Communities should not let themselves be extorted by billionaires for their Sunday entertainment! Enough is enough. You don't get respect by getting pushed over! The LA market has not been kind to football. Minnesota is a far more devoted, loyal market. Go ahead and move, the Vikings will lose in the end!

A week and a half left in the session so I guess we should prepare ourselves for about 10 rounds of a Reusse - Souhan - Hartman stadium tag team frenzy. The thing is, though, everyone already knows all sides of the issue by heart and a daily reiteration of the same tired rhetoric isn't going to change anything. The team name? Who cares? Instead, why not come up with some fresh ideas on how to solve this problem. Why not talk about having the business community put up a stake? Why not suggest that the hotels and bars kick in some bucks for this? Why does this always have to fall back on the same poor schmoes to pay for a new stadium simply because the Vikings owners want more suites which we'll never see, let alone be allowed into?

Looks like its over the conservatives who want a dismal job and economic forecast in Minnesota have won.For some reason they seem to think that a bad economy means a win for the GOP.Get ready for there next move after the Vikings are gone! blaming the Governor and the DNC for what they did.

Its always seemed so simple to me. Ever since Ive been born, I've been taught the value of the free enterprise system we have in our country. You compete, you thrive, or... you fall by the wayside. And so now, after all the stuff that's gone on all these years around here... the politics, the concern about footing the stadium bill for this or that billionaire owner.. the community is faced with the hard truth. In our competative society.... other cities, owner potential buyers will fill the void this community is unable to. Begin to release your emotional attachment to the purple and white. I know. It's just a football team. Just a toy for a rich owner. That's true. What is also true is how, for whatever reason, this team has been worth the emotional investment for generations of Minnesotans. And now in the period of this great political divide in this country, in this election year, the clock is being allowed to run out.

It's like our legislators, business leaders, civic leaders etc. are all waiting for "someone else" to figure out a way to get a stadium built. For over a decade they have lived in denial, that the Vikings would never be sold or moved. They simply don't understand that they are the leaders we elected, it is their duty to make tough decisions that may not be liked by their constituents but more importantly (than getting re-elected) is to acknowledge the economic impact that a professional sports team has upon a major city, the importance of the Vikings impact on our culture etc. Attention legislators....there is no "white knight" that is going to ride into town and do your job for you and wave a wand and a new stadium appears. Enough of using the excuse of a referendum, you are hired to make the tough decisions....using your feeble excuse, then every legislative decision should be "put on a referendum"...get some courage you cowards!
