I'm afraid by the time the Wilfs are smart enough to realize Spielman is incompetent as a GM and knows nothing about football, it'll be far too late for this sinking ship.

You didn't read the article did you? Spielman's picks are up there in lasting quality with the Patriots and Steelers. Free agency is fine to pick and choose but not to build a lasting winner. You don't see the Patriots, Steelers, or, heaven forgive me for saying, the Packers going crazy during free agency. They build through the draft and they keep their heads in free agency. This is Spielman's first draft as the man. If he screws up after a couple years then bounce him. Other than that let him do his job and you do yours.

Neither Wilf nor Spielman appear to know as much about football as a pig does about church.

One would have to forget that the aforementioned Wilf also picked Brad Brainnless as skipper who crashed the vikings longboat into the iceberg and now soon to be four time failure crazy Ricky to fix the wreckage. On a positive note one the ship is done sinking to the bottom we will have no where to go but up.

More smoke blowing. Not only is Spielman incompetent-Frazier is a joke and will be replaced before the end of the season. This is a doomed franchise

OK, now we know that Spielman is better than Frank Foley. That's like saying getting German measles is better than getting tuberculosis. All I know, FOR SURE, is that Spielman almost single-handedly tanked the Miami Dolphins and it took them better than 3 years to show improvement after he left. And thank you, purplecosell, for pointing out that the Wilf's showed questionable talent evaluation when they hired Childers.

What I'm saying tripleotbuck is look at the reality of Spielman's draft numbers based on this article instead of however you see it. Last year was Fraisers first, with no off season and a Childress depleated roster because he wanted to go "all in" with free agency and the second go around with Favre. 30 players out of 36 still playing. 3 guys that went Pro Bowl while only the Patriots and Steelers having more. Spielman is doing his job. It's the coaches, namely Childress, that haven't been up to the task.

You Spielman supporters act like he just got on board. He was here when we reached for Ponder instead of getting an O-lineman and then Ponder in the second. He drafted a good TE even though that was not a position of need and the same thing at RB the year before. Now he gives a big contract to the worst center we have had here in twenty years (hard to judge cause he is usually hurt) and signs another TE instead of a corner or wide out. So please tell me what are the details he is paying attention to again......
