We need tighter regulations on banks. I know of two people that just this year got mortgage loans on a new house (despite bad credit) and ended up walking away from their old houses and will let them go into foreclosure as they stopped paying on their old houses and don't care. Sick, stupid banks- we should be able to fine them for every sub par loan they make. But banks doesn't care about other banks, they just care about collecting the extremely high closing costs and making a buck NOW. But no, those republicans don't want regulations on the financial industry so here we sit, helpless as people who shouldn't get mortgages are getting them and letting their old houses go. I am not a fan of Big government but sadly, greedy, dishonest people and companies make regulations a way to protect the rest of us hard working, honest people.
