Colts owner Jim Irsay took to Twitter earlier this week and created speculation about a possible trade that a quarterback-hungry team might be interested in making in the NFL draft.

The key here is that no one is going to call Spielman's bluff. So if the Dolphins were to trade up, it would be to No. 4 held by the Browns. Who by the way are predicted to take RB Trent Richardson which is plenty early for him. So the Browns could trade out which makes just as much sense for them as it does for us because they need a lot of help. They'd still get their (predicted) guy and a couple other picks. It's far more logical.

I hope they can trade down but I highly doubt it Spielman is going to play it as safe as possible to avoid any kind of backlash and draft Kalil, which is a shame. You can get a serviceable lineman with the 2nd round pick, there isn't another Justin Blackmon out there. Ponder is an athletic enough QB who will have to learn to get the ball out quick and avoid sacks. Kalil is a good lineman but he played in a high caliber offense at USC with a QB who didnt hold the ball long and had good WRs which made him look better, we don't have that here we have a RB coming off a big injury and a great slot WR we need a big time threat and that is Blackmon a dominant WR he will make Ponder and the o-line look a lot better and stretch the field for Adrian. A WR that can take men out of the box will help AP way more than adding a lineman.

acoustic470, Trent Richardson will not be on the board at #8 if the Browns swap with the Dolphins.

The only scenario that would make sense is that they trade one pick down to the Browns who have indicated interest in Tanneyhill. They get Kalil with that pick at #4 and could get another 2nd round pick. Kalil is the logical choice because the gap between him and the next OT is wide. The Vikings need more than just another body or serviceable lineman to improve the O-Line. This draft is deep with WRs and they could get a good one with one of the extra picks in the second round. Harrison Smith stock is going up and would be a good pick in the second round because of the lack of production from the safety position. Reuben Randle or Mohamed Sahu will probably still be available with the extra pick which would fill the gaping hole at X receiver.

If Irsay were THAT sold on Tannenhill wouldn't he be looking to trade out of the #1 (Imagine the bounty he could get for that) then back to the #3 in order to draft him. If the price is right (at least an extra 1 and 2) I say trade out of the 3rd. We're not 1 draft away from having a Superbowl ready team.

I just don't see how the Vikings can trade out of this pick and still get Kalil unlesss it's with the Browns. If they trade down with KC or Miami I am sure Kalil will be gone to the Rams or Jags. Yeah, Blackmon and Claiborne are out there but Ponder can't throw from the turf if he doesn't have the protection. Stay out unless it's with the Browns. Kalil is the future.

Excuse me... the only reason Miami would trade up is to get AHEAD of Cleveland. They wouldn't be trading WITH Cleveland! Either Cleveland wants Tannehill or they don't. That's what Miami has to figure out and try to move ahead with us. Let's put our thinking caps on, please.

Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, Kalil, You people are SHEEP! When in the history of the NFL has an offensive lineman turned around a football team? Stop reading everyone else's opinion and start thinking for yourselves! You take pure TALENT at #3, Blackmon or Claiborne!

PikeGraphics -Stud offensive Linemen are the ONLY blue chip guarantee.. When have you seen an OT selected in the top five turn out to be a bust? Now compare that to receivers, qb,s and db,s It's not even close.. Take Kalil, argubly the second most important postion on a team!

The best pick for both the Cleveland Browns at #4 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at #5 right now is Trent Richardson who is head and shoulders above any other running back in this years draft and very well could end up being the best running back in the NFL. This would offer a great trade down for the Vikes who would still get either Kalil, Claiborne, or Blackmon while securing a high pick from the Bucs to move ahead of Cleveland. Cleveland has needs at RT and possibly both guard positions and not at LT so Kalil could still be there for the Vikes at #5 unless Cleveland trades out of the #4 spot but Blackmon would be a good pick for the Browns also. This would be the best trade for the Vikes who would still be in that top 5. There are 6 or 7 blue chip players in this years draft.
