Now trade for a starting pitcher to replace Baker and a closer to replace Capps and we're good to go!

re: "Albert Pujols . . .was hitting .083 for the season when he came to bat in the ninth inning at Target Field on Thursday and got his only hit of the series to raise his average to .217. How can one hit move him up that much, after 6 games? I don't understand the math, help me out here!!

They're contending after two wins? Yeh right. Dream on...and Albert Pujols is not going to hit that average for the year...he will "crush" American League pitching.

The M & M boys are paid for their potential and finally earned some. Too bad their salaries don't go down after poor seasons like last year. Now, Gardy it's the time to make some changes in the pitching, before it is too late. Make Perkins the closer and put Lariano in the pen, before it's too late.

They were booing them in the beginning of the game and they are MVP's at the end of the game. Minnesota sports fans...Unique!!

TRUTH IS THEY ARE SHORT GOOD PITCHERS ON MAJOR LEAGUE AND MINOR LEAGUE CLUBS. THEY NEED TO TRADE MAUER OR MORNEAU OR SPAN FOR TOP PITCHING PROSPECTS OR A PROVEN PITCHER AND USE THEIR SALARY SAVINGS TO SIGN BIG TIME PITCHERS.

Hey Tdietsche - The article said Pujols was hitting .182 before the single, not .083. So that's how one hit can raise him to .217. Simple arithmetic.

None of this matters...nobody would take the M or M boys with their salaries. They have no pitching and have no chance. 4th or 5th place in Central. Nobody trades a stud pitcher unless they are going to be a F/A next year. Twins need to win three more games to get to five wins in April. Twins don't have a legit #1,2,3 pitcher in their staff and man is Cappy bad. Pohlads cheap and won't spend a dime. He's just gonna milk the new stadium as long as he can. He has no commitment to winning a championship. That's just the way it is folks.
