Don't forget the HUGE service being provided by the Ronald McDonald Houses. Let's see if that advocacy group would step up to the plate and take on that service.

The Government does not have to tell us what choices to make. McDonalds has stepped up to the plate in a big way with the Ronald McDonald houses. They deserve to be able to gain a little back from the people they are benefitting.

Whether or not Ronald McDonald charities benefits the community is a red herring. The problem is that we are surrounded by unhealthy food choices in this country. Other than cooking at home, there are very few healthy options out there. It's probably true that the government doesn't need to regulate what we eat, but consumers should step up and start demanding healthy options. In this case, the hospital administration should be looking out for the health interests of its patients, particularly since that is their job.

a98charlie Have you ever gone and seen what the Ronald McDonalds house does for families that stay there, you probably have not becuase you want someone else to make your decisions for you. No one is making you eat at any fast food joint, and I dont believe that the hospital administration is taking any Big Macs or Chicken McNuggets to the patients, they have a very capatable and highly trained dietary staff to handle the patients and their needs. ChOICES make your own choices and someday take a chance and stop by the Ronald McDonalds House and see what they are about then maybe you could see the Great things they are doing at NO COST to the patients.

Personally, I am sick and tired of the "do-gooders" of this country, trying to make decisions and changes "they" feel are in everyone's best interest, health, and safety! WE all make choices, right or wrong, and EVERYONE of us WILL die at some point, from something, no matter if we eat healthy, exercise, do or dont smoke, or use tanning lotions. Concern yourselves with YOUR life, and leave the rest of to make our own choices!!

Ridiculous. While I personally rarely eat McDonald's I feel as though there is no reason they can not be at the hospital. If you feel as though you should not be eating McDonald's dont eat it or feed it to your kids. Step up to the plate. Yes, it would be easier if there were only healthy choices out there but thats not reality. Those of you who blame the fast food industry and claim that the unhealthy choices are everywhere and obesity would not be a problem if they werent are probably the same people who do not believe in personal responsibility
