South Dakota ranks No. 1 in wind power

Minnesota slips to fourth place in rankings compiled by the American Wind Energy Association.

"U.S. wind power capacity grew 31 percent in 2011, accounting for 35 percent of all new electricity generation capacity" Is there some other source mandated by State laws into which the federal government poured $billions in cash grants the last few years??? Generating electricity that cannot be stored, produced primarily at times when it cannot be used, at great expense to tax and rate payers. Devastates human health, drives rural citizens from their homes and kills birds and bats. Wind also destroys far more jobs than it creates. Stop the sWINDle already.
