Why does this tiny group get so much press and police coverage? Their 15 minutes were up a long time ago.

What does Occupy stand for? I am at a total loss to understand what the they want, other than attention and TV cameras. It seems to be movement without a cause. Like James Dean, but without a bar of soap.

Why does this group think they can break the law? While protesting and demanding that assembly is their right, they forget about the rights of others......

Just a little ol' group of citizens using their 1st amendment rights to take back out country instead of wasting their time watching FOX news, and other silly shows

"What does Occupy stand for?"

That should be pretty obvious by now. They're calling for an end to this political corruption where the wealthy fund the political campaigns and the politicians funnel taxpayer money back to the wealthy. They want to reform a tax code which taxes income from work at twice the rate as income from wealth.

I think they're also demanding that we prosecute Wall Street fraud. Don't you think we should put those people in prison who belligerently crashed the world economy and ran off with $100M paydays?

Regardless of whether the group has the "right" to stay over night in tents, it didn't take long after the crippling of the CRA for the city's largest street gang, the "Almighty Blue Shirt Nation" to take the offensive. Can't let those camera people photograph anything that might show the Cops as being over the top in their response.

viktorvaughn-where to start? Tax income from work at twice the rate of wealth. The way I see it, the money that is invested had to be earned in the first place so it has already been taxed as "income from work". And there IS work involved in investing or one loses the money invested. The wealthy fund political campaigns- the largest contributor(s) to political campaigns are unions. Both sides have their sugar daddies and mommies; Hollywood and Wall Street bankers generally lean toward Democratic funding and as a class business owners generally support Republican ideas. We have a criminal code that is based on a presumption of innocence. Frauds, when properly convicted, do go to jail. If the law says you cannot camp overnight, obey the law. But pelase clean up you mess before you leave for the day.

Too funny. The insured camera, own by corrupt corporate media which is owned by the 1%, is now the focus point for this protest group who 1st amendment rights supersedes any of our rights.
