Ever since Ricky Rubio got hurt, the defense has faltered. And Wednesday was the worst.

Without Ricky Rubio Kurt Rambiss was unable to get this group to play defense. Rick Adelman seems to be no better without Rubio.

Adelman is head and shoulders above Rambis in every facet of coaching; defense included, Rubio or no Rubio. To compare Adelman to Rambis,( who BTW, won as many games as Rambis did all season before the all star break,) is akin to comparing a Lear Jet to a Pontiac Aztec. IMO, The best signing Kahn has made as GM is Rubio. The second best signing he's made is Adelman.

Without being influenced by homerism koolaid, which is known to adversely affect one's judgment, I cannot remember a guard in the last forty-plus years who plays better team defense than Rubio. He is a very good one-on-one defender, but there have been better ones. But his overall defense, especially his team defense, is absolutely freakish, the best I have ever seen at his position. Now, it's time for some koolaid.

Funny, our depth/youth was supposed to be an advantage in the brazen pace of this abbreviated season. Turns out, the "deep" Wolves were about 3 deep, as the losses of Rubio and Pek completely sunk our playoff momentum.
