He understood that the quest for human rights, social justice never ends.
My heart is with you. However, living downtown Mpls I wonder when should we start to reduce the amount of tax dollars to those who come here from other states and countries for our welfare benefits. Come observe the traffic to the HSS building on 3rd a
Ave and 11th St or watch the arrivals on the Megabus from Chicago and Milwaukee.
ekoforss: "My heart is with you....I wonder when should we start to reduce the amount of tax dollars to those who come here from other states and countries for our welfare benefits." You obviously missed the point of the piece. Your heart is NOT with the writer if you want to exclude people in need from getting help. It's that simple.
HHH helped create the standard still followed by
democrats today. Be generous with OPM in order to
buy votes from the undeserving recipients. Everything he did had a political motive regardless of how it was dressed up to be. This
article describes nothing more than seeking political
donations from a powerful block of voters. No
crime in that, but call it what it was.
Yea, the powerful poor and downtrodden.
Darn it. I read the headline and thought for sure this was going to be a story about Skip Humphrey and his open arms to the Tribal Nations, suggesting that our current Governor should now extend those open arms to the WhiteEarth proposal for a casino partnership in the Twin Cities. Guess that is too much to ask on the day Jesus died. Perhaps by Sunday we'll resurrect this story and the casino discussion will be rise again?

So much for open arms. More like crossed arms.
