Sure, intentionally losing to improve a draft position can be tempting. But it reeks of a get-rich-quick approach.

Thank you Michael Rand for sanity. Watch all those "tankers" get on here and try to "justify" doing it. It's like purposely doing a "horrible" job at work. Or "going through the motions". Good way to get "fired".

O.K.. Mother Theresa.. Let's not sound like were all Mighty, never thought of the idea before, guy.. I'm here to get the Debate started. IMO the Wild have done themselves a disservice by not at least making an effort to.. put out less effort. Until coach Yeo proves he can win in this league his "Culture Change" Speil is nothing more than lip service to me.. He's had 80 games to get it right! Meaningless points at this juncture are just that..Meaningless..

ou can't really ask a team to lose, can you? It seems to go against everything these players and coaches have ever done in their careers. And if they do it, well, it just feels dirty to them. It's the corollary to what everyone has been saying during the losing streak, that winning can be manufactured by "bag skates," threats or whatever other ways it takes to motivate young men. Winning and losing come down to the skill of the players, the way they play as a group and a how they are physically. And a little luck here and there. All we as fans can hope for is their luck runs out and they start losing, rather than winning these 1 goal games in order to get a better draft pick. Not me personally, I like winners.

angusyoung...i guess you'd get fired for "mailing it in" at work...while the guy who isn't gonna get promoted or never will keeps on doing his best and then some...keep that motto going...try being successful with that...yeh right
