I have over 1 million miles on 6 different vehicles. Not one engine has failed. Only engine repairs was one plugged throttle body and one bad injector. So just what engines are you referring to mismarples? I guess you don't remember valve jobs between 40,000 and 60,000 miles. Carbeurator rebuilds every 30-40000 miles. Engines completely wore out at 100,000 or earlier. Now can easily get 300,000 miles on an engine. Frozen fuel lines in the winter. Thing of the past now with ethanol. Yep sure are a lot of ruined engines.

sawatdee, Ethanol eats up plastic tubing in chainsaws, weedeaters, and so on. It is a worthless product. Frozen gas lines can be avoided by adding Heet. Get over it. Oil is made better today that is why motors last longer. Do some research.

yep use heet. That eats up anything made of rubber. Ruined many a snowmobile engine. I rebuilt hundreds of them.

superman if the weedeaters, etc were manufactured with the right products there would't be any problem. How much more do you think it would cost to put the proper fuel line on to begin with. Maybe ten cents? The ethanol didnt hurt your engine. Ethanol has been around for over 20 years.Closer to thirty. I have tractors bult in the 30's, 40's and 50's. All use ethanol. Have yet to replace any fuel lines or rebuild any carbs. Time for the manufactures of those cheap throwaway products to build them right. Time for you to do some research.

thesuperman, do you know what is in Heet? A primary ingredient is Methanol, which is another form of alcohol. By the way, a half a teaspoon of Methanol can cause blindness, and 4 ounces will cause death. 4 ounces of ethanol might make you drunk. And oil is made better today? Really? Do you know that oil was formed millions of years ago and no one is "making" oil? I'm sure you meant refining oil or making gasoline, right supes? No wars have been fought over ethanol...no young men sent to the middle east over ethanol reserves. It is a homegrown, USA employer that can lessen the US's dependence on foreign energy, and provides thousands of jobs. Wake up.
