The Don says he needs Kent to be their best player this weekend, and then he says he wants his players to relax. Not sure how Kent can relax when Lucia's putting all this pressure on him. I think Kent knows he needs to be on top of his game without the Don making that statement to the media. As Herbie would say, "play your game". Sure BC is good, but it's not like we're playing the Russian's. We can't let BC dictate how we play, we should go out and do what's been successful for us all year, forecheck hard, control the puck, look for the open man, score. Or to quote the conehead line "pass, shoot, score". I do think each player has to focus on their assignment more than any game we've played this year. We can match them with speed and goaltending, and we have the overall size advantage, so we should look to be physical. Ok h___, what do I know? Take the lead and hold onto it.

If the boys come out and are physical from the 1st shift, the Gophers will win.

Thats exactly what Lucia said, be aggressive and score goals and the team with the hotest goaltender will win. I guess that would mean KP. I wouldn't change any thing they did in preparation for North Dakota and Boston U. Go Gophers!!!!

Do your homework, Don, because it's going to take an A+ effort during the entire test to beat BC in a pass/fail class.

Let's do this. GO GOPHERS!!!

Gee, that's real insightful stuff there Rem22/NoDak guy. So you really think they need to play their best game to win against BC?? Wow, who would have thought that??? It's so nice to see the NoDakians struggle with any kind of negative commentary regarding the WCHA and West Regional Champion Gophers lately. However, they were posting like fiends with smack talk and other jibberish right up until they were beat down at the X about 10 days ago, then, they woke up and realized that their beloved team was (and has been all season long) average at best. Now, it's mostly crickets from the NoDakians on the Agustoviz beat these days. They are too busy stuffing their mouths with that big serving of humble pie!!!!

I think INCH may have put the jinx on the Gophers. In their game preview they say "Talent is not an issue, if every team in the field plays it's absolute best, Minnesota prevails". As a Gopher fan I prefer being the underdog, which they still are in a lot of eyes, but this is not a typical Gopher team. As 218 says, they have to take advantage of the grit and physicality they've brought all year. ///// It's been a great year already win or lose, but as long as they're already there, they might as well win the thing. 2 to go.
