I just drew up plans for a new 28,000 sq. ft. mansion that want to build with gold faucets, imported Italian tile, and a 6 car garage, all on 3 fenced acres.....can I get you taxpayers to foot the bill for me? It's only going to cost each of you a few thousand dollars.

If that's what it's going to look like, they should just keep the dome. Totally uninspired and generic. Blech.

Wow, what could be worse for the Downtown East neighborhood than the Metrodome? How about a new stadium that knocks down existing buildings and replaces them with surface parking lots to support tailgaters 12 Sundays a year. And to think these people want to spend Minneapolis tax dollars to not only subsidize a private business, but to subsidize it in a way that would destroy a neighborhood for another two generations.

If we allowed the sales tax on restaurant food to rise by 1/5 a cent my total contribution would be about $25.00, if I racked up $5,000.00 in food and drink bills but I spend closer to $2,000 a year. Yep, that's gonna break me.

It's interesting that the 'green space' is effectively the Star Tribune Building gone, and it's parking lot also consumed. How much of the cost of the 'stadium' is projected to be taxpayers paying the Strib for this property and building a city park? I can't see The Wilf's building a city park on their dime....

Why not put a Roller Coaster on the roof or is that going to be landing pad for Wilf?
