For someone that is his size he can throw big, big hits. Very fun to watch. On a side note, can someone tell me why the hit he gave in Denver got him booted and a one game suspension? I never really heard why that hit was so bad.

Because it happened in Denver to Zucker. That's it, end of story. Rau is fun to watch and great player. Good luck in Tampa, I can't wait to go down on Wednesday.

I was sold on Rau, after the first game vs. ND this year. Ambrose took a major and Rau single handedly killed that penalty with tenacious forecheck in the ND zone. The kid plays with a huge heart and he just might be igniter championship teams always seem to have. He is a joy to watch play the game.

I will always be a Kyle Rau fan after he made that very difficult decision to stay and play his senior year at Eden Prairie. Nothing against others who make the choice to go to Ann Arbor, etc. to further their potential career, each is a personal decision, difficult for each to make. But he sure was fun to watch that year.

Like Rau's game a lot, like a little er Ciccarelli out there. I really believe that the effort to bring in more grit the last couple years with guys like Seratorre, Parenteau, Larson, and higher end kids like Rau, Alt, Ambroz, and even Marshall is paying off this time of year. Even guys like Haula and Hansen have an edge to their game and have changed the attitude of the program.
