Patrick Reusse: Who's the fairest Kevin of all? Um, answer is on the scoreboard

Kevin Love's talent is unquestioned, but Kevin Garnett showed the value of defense -- and of not getting him riled.

Great article Reusse! I wish I could watch that game against Sac Kings again. As for which Kevin would I choose? It's easy... I'd take KG everyday of the week over Love. KG Da Man!!

Typical. "Scoreboard" does NOT tell the story. Wolves are limping along right now without Pek, Rubio, Barea and Beasley. In comparison, lets take Rondo, Allen and Pierce off that squad and see who wins.

Really who wins? KG made this franchise my friend. Love has yet to do that. Case closed.

The Celtics aren't missing everyone, but they are missing Allen and Pietrus, so it's not as though they were full strength either.

Pat - this game proved nothing relative to either Kevin's. Too many injuries. Kinda hard to win with 4 of your top 6 or 7 hurt. To insinuate anything different is totally idiotic. You are smarter than this, sir. And KG can't play every game against the Wolves. He has to find some other way to fire himself up in other games, which it is apparent he does not do on a regular basis. I bet K-Love will never demand a contract that stops the team from being able to field a team around him.

Paleeeeze! I love KG but he was suppose to be the one putting up Love numbers. He never did! Wolves had their first real game off this year. Even with all their injuries. Last year, they were getting blown out all the time. Love is a much better player then KG at this stage of his career.

A few points...The Celtics are as shorthanded as the T-Wolves. Allen is injured, Jeff Green & Chris Wilcox on shelf with heart ailments, Jermaine O'Neal lost for season, Peitrus out w/ concussion. Five out of their top nine out. Their bench is thinner than the T-Wolves. Also, comparisons to K-Love and KG right now are silly. Love is getting there, but probably will never play D or pass like KG. That said, in 20 years, both will be in the small group of the greatest power forwards in NBA history.

I remember a few years ago, when the vikings with Favre thoroughly trounced Green Bay and we gloated. A Green Bay fan posted something to the effect that in a few short years, Favre will be older and gone, and Aaron Rogers will be the man. How does this relate to the rivalry last night? Think about it. The Green Bay fan was absolutely right. These two teams are going to be heading in opposite directions sooner, rather than later. It wasn't that long ago, that I couldn't care less about this Minnesota team, but now I look at some of the real young talent on this team and believe we are no longer destined to be the L.A. Clippers of the midwest. KG will always be a Minnesota favorite, but KL is the future.

Looking back, the biggest blunder of Kevin McHale's executive career was his draft night trade of Ray Allen for Stephon Marbury. They have never recovered from that decision.

Luke ridnour, Derrick Williams, Wesley Johnson, Martell Webster are all backup players in the NBA starting. Pierce and Rondo have been all-stars. That is your difference. Although Garnett back in his day would have this wolves team 7-8 games over .500
