Extending the new postseason overtime rules to the regular season is another step in the right direction. However, this rule still needs to be tweaked. Ending the game when the first team to have a possession scores a TD without allowing the other team to answer doesn't make sense. If the goal is to allow both teams a chance to possess the ball, the new rule fails in this instance.
