The seven-time Pro Bowl guard wished he could have stayed, but he understands the NFL runs as a business.

A real class act. At his age, still better than many players much younger. He will be missed in the community, as well.

I happen to be a GB fan and shareholder. Regardless, I wish Hutchinson could have been in GB for the last several years. Talent is talent and class is class. He has both.

"they needed the money to sign free agents"? Who have they signed? I thought the same thing Steve did, why didn't they ask him to restructure...

Restructuring should have been an option or at least an offer. Hutch has been and still is as good as there is in my opinion. Letting Hutch go to me looks like the Vikings coaching staff has once again removed another obstacle in smoothing out the Vike's road to 0-16 in 2012. Skol Vikings!

"If you check the Twins website, there's about 200 tickets on sale for the home opener April 9 with the Los Angeles Angels. Once those 200 are sold, the game will be a sellout." Really? I thought they only sold 200 tickets at a time!!!

Three seasons ago "Hutch" stood on the sidelines for a good part of the season because of a "hurt thumb!" Whenever he would try to stand next to Favre-Brett would move away. No loss!

First, they should have offered a restructured deal, just another swing and a miss by this organization. But Hutch can't understand that his career is headed in the opposite direction of the Vikings rebuilding? Second, bondlake, you really believe you're a GB "shareholder"? That's really sad. You can trade it from some Florida swampland if you're lucky.

I prefer to keep my Florida swampland...

how many games did he miss Farve's last season because of a thumb injury? why does an offensive lineman need to use his thumbs? He was a lazy bum and should have been gone that year.

I was hoping Hutch and the Vikes would renegotiate so he could stay for a few more years. Then take Kalil at #3 and have them line up side by side so the rookie could learn from a probowler. So much for that plan... Still hope we take Kalil though!
