November 6th is the day we are waiting for - a chance at real representation. Goodbye, Michelle.

Dear Michele Bachman, thank you for your dilligence in destroying a law that allowed me to keep my children on insurance when they had no other option. That prevents insurance companies from arbitrarily dropping people just because they are expensive. That ensures that we have a chance to get insurance, even if we have some type of preexisting condition. That makes me pay over a $1,000/year for others who don't have insurance but we have to pay for because we can't bring ourselves to let them die. And worst of all, provides a level of safety net for those who lose jobs and then have no option to get care. Thank you MIchele for your single minded hatred of such a terrible law. I know you are looking out for me.

"In the future, you see, we will not be electing a president," Bachmann told the crowd Tuesday. If the health care law stands, she said, "we will be electing a health care dictator."

One thing remains clear from this debate: Righties can always be counted on to bring to the discussion of serious and complex issues, a coterie of simple-minded "answers," slogan, and nostrums.

When you get the Federal government involved, they usually screw things up. Obamacare is just one of those many screw-ups. If the law is not overturned it will affect many aspects of our lives down the road because it represents more than just healthcare. It basically says the government knows best, even though every major poll shows the majority of people in this nation are against this law. The law would not have passed except for sweetheart backroom deals and heavy political arm twisting. So much for Obama's transparency promise....what BS.

Why are you lefty-libs so content on taking what ISN'T yours medas2005: Why is it MY responsibility to pay for your kids and their pre-existing conditions? I feel bad for you, and I HAVE been there before. But I drained my savings and 401(k) to pay for my family's insurance. It never occurred to me that it was everyone else's responsibility to pay for my kids. Please enlighten me: How are YOU paying over $1,000 a year for other people's insurance? Why should pre-existing conditions be guaranteed? You can't buy a smashed-up car and then expect your new insurance company to foot the bill for fixing it, can you? We need to separate emotions on this issue. Yes, changes need to be made, but this is about GOVERNMENT mandating we do something. That is contrary to our constitution.

"In the future, you see, we will not be electing a president," Bachmann told the crowd Tuesday. If the health care law stands, she said, "we will be electing a health care dictator." I guess she is conceding that Obama will be re-elected in November. At least she's right about one thing.

I think Bachmann should lose her GOVT. sponsored health insurance. I'm not willing to give my TAX dollars for her care any longer. Yep, there are going to be BIG CHANGES in this country and the republicans are not going to like them.
