Here's a plan:

Ward 1: Downtown, around the U and SE Mpls

Ward 2: South of 94, East if 35W

Ward 3: West of 35W, South of 394

Ward 4: North of 394, West of 94

Ward 5: Northeast Mpls

No political pandering and less money wasted on council members. Win win situation.

Why does this matter? The Council will just ignore anything that's in the City Charter, anyway. Lets get on with the voting so we can get rid of these clowns and install Council Members who will abide by the will of the people and not try to wriggle around the laws.

After reading that article, all I have to say is that I'm very glad I no longer live in the city of Minneapolis!

"get out of Samuel's ward?" Move"................It was a joke. I love Minneapolis, but Samuels is very ineffectual.

I'd like to see a map. I'm in an odd angle of Glidden's ward. I doubt redistricting would mean much to me personally; there aren't very many hot-button issues in my area. Although I'm interested in the rumors I hear of making Park and Portland 2-ways eventually again. That would help me a lot, but really screw up a lot of other people.
