The Twins righthander, once again battling an ailing elbow, got back on the mound but did not look good in doing so.

I have been saying it for the past 5+ years ... get rid of Scott Baker... my gosh, how does this team stay so stubborn with a pitcher who gives you less in return of what has been invested. You can almost say the Twins are as wasteful as the State of California!! I wonder how many of you out there feel the same about Baker ... he is a total waste of MLB talent and fragile as all get out in more ways than one.

"!! I wonder how many of you out there feel the same about Baker ... he is a total waste of MLB talent and fragile as all get out in more ways than one." Not me. 46-28 the last 4 years with an even better record down the stretch in crunch time. Averages 30 starts in that time even with the abbreviated season last year. He's been good. Would I like him to come out of the gate stronger and give us a 34 starts with no clunkers. Of course. Doesn't mean the Twins are better without him cuz they are definitely not.

Gardenhire a source of frustration. Where's Slowey?

People label Liriano a head case. Baker leads the staff. Where's Slowey, blasphemer? Getting hammered, as usual. Four runs on five hits and three walks in four innings in his Wed. start. Might not make the Indians' rotation as the fifth starter. Gee, wonder if the bullpen in Cleveland will look better than the one in Minnesota? How come the second-guessers are keeping up on Delmon and not Slowey, Nathan, Cuddyer and Kubel? The latter two have been so-so this spring and the pitchers awful.

Dump his behind now. Declare him permanently injured, collect the insurance money and go find somebody---anybody. He is not durable and will only let you down.

@dantes929...you miss the point...he's injured all the time...never finishes...time to cut him...that's what they used to do..if you couldn't stay healthy you were gone..

Time for Gardenhire to send a message to the veterans who are always "hurt" but never "injured". Put them on the bench and play the kids. At least young players try and usually get better, veterans just get older. There is no room for whiners on a 99 loss team.
