A value player? I might be going out on a limb, but there might be a reason Chicago did not want to keep Bowman on the roster.

A VALUE PLAYER??? It's funny to see just how low this amatuer viking organization is willing to go!!! One thing is for sure, they do their best work making sure their Super Bowl / World Championship trophy case remains empty!!! Keep up the good work boys, you wouldn't want to end the 52 year (and counting) Super Bowl-less streak!!!

How about some IMPACT players?!?

Bowman was a star at Nebraska. He struggled a bit last year, but really is a good pick up for the team. He should be able play outside with Cook and let Winfield play the slot. But if we take another corner in the draft, Bowman could slide to the dime back and be quality depth guy.

Another two bit corner to throw on the trash heap! The draft better be the greatest in team history or they will lose 10 or more games next year.

Good move. He will be at least the 3rd cb on the depth chart, even with cb taken in 2nd rd. Quality pick-up. Dude was great at nebraska! 6 int's in 09... and he didnt even start. You guys are upset that we added this kind of talent?

Another Spielman invention.

Pretty easy to see Spielman's over his head in the GM role. Another example of dumpster diving by Vikings. I don't agree with Spielman's ideas on rebuilding the Vikings. Who are the players we've added to help change the culture of futility, failure and incessant losing? Answer: NONE! The impact players we could have added in free-agency are gone. The teams that picked them up like Tampa Bay, aren't interested in supporting a culture of losing. A note to the Vikings: Getting by on the cheap is NOT getting by. The Vikes have clinched last place in 2013. One of the questions I have about the Vikings in 2013 is: Will they even win one game?

Along with signing Bowman the Vikings are making a lot of free agent signings that will not only help improve depth but will also help special teams. The Vikes also just got news that they will get two 4th round compensatory picks to make their total of draft picks add up to 10. Good players can be found in the 4th round. Vikings have added help on the defensive line in recent history with 4th rounders Ray Edwards in 2006, Brian Robison in 2007, Everson Griffen in 2010, and Christian Ballard in 2011. The Vikes still have 16 of their 18 draft picks over the last two years still on their roster and they need to really come through with this draft as it has become evident that the future of this team now rides with the drafts.

What did the Bird say when it flew over the Viking's offices in Eden Prairie? "Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!
