Always fun to see a highly overated no-dak club get squished.

What I always enjoy watching college hockey is the fact that they actually play without all the clutching/grabbing seen in the NHL. While the skill level of the passing etc is not as good as the pros, the entire game is much more entertaining, regardless of the outcome. I am ecstatic that the Gophers made the frozen 4. GO GOPHERS Having been subjected to the pitiful state of the FB and BB program it is so much fun to actually have a team that over achieved.

Same type of game as last week only this tiem the Gophers did not take their foot off the pedal. THye showed with out a doubt who was the better team. North Dakota had a nice year over coming a lot of adversity but the Gophers were a superior team. This game proved it. Go Gophers!!!!

I hate to say it, but probably the best thing that happened to the Gopher hockey team was that miserable loss to ND in the WCHA tournament. Minnesota is tyhe better team, but not by much, and without that wakeup call, I doubt if they would have played with the enthusiasm they showed in the regional. Good WCHA teams have a way of splitting a two-game series, and the Gophers would much rather win the regional than the WCHA, I'm sure.

Great year so far. Scoggins got it right when he said that it really wasn't even close. Sometimes a loss that comes at the right time can be a good thing. Losing to Generic U in the Frozen Five reminded this team that they can't let up this time of year, it will earn you a quick exit. BC is a tough draw but with the way the Gophers are playing I'm looking froward to it. GOOOOOOOOO GOPHERS !

Lucia made a coaching change that probably went unoticed by most hockey fans when after last weeks loss he changed some of his lines around to get more offensive punch. He moved T. Matson from center to wing, dropped S. Ambroz to the 4th line and moved rookie T. Boyd to center on the 3rd line. Since the move Matson ,Boyd and Condon each had a goal and a assist. Boyds first goal was the clincher putting the Gophers up 4-1 after 40 mnutes of play. No matter what is posted on here by the naysayers about wait until next week the Gophers were by far the superior team on the ice last night and are on their way to the finals. Its obvious by those that continue to down grade Lucia and his team that they aren't man enough to say they got their a** kicked by a better team. The Gophers were well coached and proved it by their execution on the ice. They tightened up the ice giving the Sioux few quality chances especially after they took the lead. They also continued to shoot high on Dell who has a tendency to go down early. Another factor was that Patterson was tough when he had to be. Yet some still say Lucia is a dumb coach. Guess he proved you wrong again.

Lucia needs to spend the next two weeks portraying BC as a goliath (not far from the truth). The old reliable 'nobody thinks you have a chance' card.

Well said voner. You really have to feel good for the Coaches and the Seniors. 2 to go.
