Western Michigan was exactly who ND thought they were....so was ND!

New jerseys don't look right....I guess even the NCAA wants to wipe out any memory of Native Americans also, oh that is except for the beloved Florida State Seminols

UND barely got by Western Michigan and look beatable. I really like the new jerseys though.

UND teams are officilly no longer "The Sioux". Above report should refer to UND or North Dakota.

The UND is officially the Sioux until the ND Supreme Court makes its decision regarding the issue before it. If favorable, the Law to keep the name is negated as is the name. If negative, the Law, and name, stays while the decision is put to a vote in the ND election on June 12. In the meantime, th UND is complying with the rules and regulations of the NCAA concerning its participation in an NCAA event, basically cloaking the name in a blanket of sensory deprivation...no sight or sound. Media and fans are free to use the Fighting Sioux name until further notice.

The announcers seemed to slip occasionally and call them the Sioux. Bet they get their hands slapped. Sioux looked rather lethargic throught the game and received most of the breaks and bounces. Should be a good game today as the Gophers probably had a beter workman effort from their team as a whole.

Even though I am a Minnesota fan, I feel that ND is getting railroaded by NCAA. I have always loved the Fighting Sioux jersey, and don't in any way see it being offensive. I love the rivalry between ND and MN, it is some of the best college hockey in the country. I agree with the above poster that the Seminoles logo or name is no different, but yet they are allowed to keep that. We are too politically correct these days....worry about meaningful things. My sympathies to ND fans.

too bad the no name shcool won. The NCAA just gave them more reason to say why are they here. Go back to dirtville and move the sand bags on the river. I was hoping Western Michigan would win, to set up a nice game today with the Gophers. Instead its dirt farmers playing the best college hockey program in the world, Minnesota Gophers.
