Joel gave his fellow "golden domer" a golden parachute. Joel has cost the university millions of dollars and the men's hockey program is just another example of how Joel has run the department into the round. Lucia is a loser and should be gone after he loses to BU!

Winning the WCHA final 5 can be more of a burden than anything. In the end, it means little. The only thing that matters is winning the National Championship. Now if you think you have an exceptional team and you are out to prove to the world that you are the very best, then go ahead and try winning them both!

Don seems to be walling up all the pressure a loss to BU would might mean to his career and program. This week, he and team haven't been able to be mentioned in the media without being tied to the UND loss in the Final Five. A loss to BU would serve to define his and the goph season in the same way 2006 did after that particularly shocking collapse. A loss to BU would mean that 2012, even with the MacNaughton, will primarily be remembered for the sudden end and the UND loss. Good luck against BU. May the best team win!

Joel Maturi lost his job for doing a poor job and everyone knows Don was the person who recommended Maturi for the AD job back in the day, it was a going away present. No other successful program would tolerate such a long and poor run at a top 5 school unless their best buddy was the AD. Hopefully they can put it together this weekend so the players don't have to continue to suffer under the Don. Its no secret he should retire or move on or whatever but quit making excuses for 4 awful years of hockey

Overconfidence can be a bad thing. Does anybody remember Holy Cross? Since Don knows the path to the frozen four must go through North Dakota, then maybe last weeks "meltdown" was actually by design. After all, everyone knows the WCHA final five is meaningless.
