Remember James Callender? Well, no, you probably don't -- but you might find his story fascinating in this context. Michael Brodkorb is a virtual reincarnation of a figure from the early years of our democracy.

Everyone assumes that Brodkorb is going to muckrake the GOP, he's going to muckrake the whole MN Senate, GOP & DFL alike and possible do the same in the MN House.

Brodkorb is one fine piece of work. His threats may well do us all some good. Point out the legislators who have been having affairs etc. etc. (both Republican and Democrat) and kick them all out of office and when the door hits them in the ---, hopefully Brodkorb is leaving with them. It's time Minnesotans take back their State and clean house.

When you become a loud critic, you become a lightening rod.

This is a giant among men. He is fighting for all of our right to be treated equally. There is no malice in his heart, only the best intentions for an outcome that we can all feel good about. Like a true champion, he gets back up when knocked down and continues the fight. The glow of greatness surrounds him and flowers spontaneously bloom in his presence. We can all count ourselves as truly lucky to have lived in the era of Brodkorb.

Mr. Brodkorb's hubris got the better of him. Now he wants to sue the state Senate. Mr. Brodkorb, you blew it and displayed very bad ethics. Deal with it and stop wasting taxpayers money on frivolous lawsuits.

In my short time working for the Republican Party I observed that Brodkorb had no boundaries. The only one I considered worse was Tony Sutton.

Good commentary, DJ. You've been writing some of the most insightful opinions for the last 20 years.

Better to say, perhaps, that Burr was the standing Vice President.

I don't really see the historical parallel here. You're conflating Amy Koch and Michael Brodkorb with Jefferson and Hamilton? Thats a stretch. I think you could find a better historical analogy watching Jersey Shore.

For heaven's sake, ericpiche, you completely missed the point.
