If Rep. Morrie Lanning, R-Moorhead, were a real sponsor of this financial debacle, he would have his constituents pick up the subsidy to Wilf that would otherwise be put upon the people who live in Minneapolis.

It's long past time to start a recall effort against Mayor Rybak. He is clearly working against the interests of the citizens of Minneapolis.

I don't understand the mayor's insistent promotion of a stadium plan destined to soak city taxpayers. Stand strong council members.

The deal the vikings currently have on the table is a completely laughable and a sham at best. I'm sure they would just love it if this stadium bill passed because it calls for the vikings to pay literally NOTHING (after PSL charges to all the homers, an NFL interest free loan and the pocketing of all naming rights just to name a few) and take absolutely NO finacial risk whatsover when the novelty of having a losing team in this $1.1 billion dollar stadium wears off a year after it opens. I do not and will not support a 51% majority owner like Zygi Wilf who lives and banks in New Jersey where all his profits end up. He is a bad corporate citizen in our community and he gives very little back to the area despite making a very tidy profit in and from our gracoius community. I call him a bad corporate citizen because he has the nerve to spend over a million dollars BEGGING / lobbying our lawmakers all the while using extortion tactics to have them approve a bill that calls for the taxpayers of Minnesota to pay for a facility that ONLY he will benefit from financially. A monkey could take a glance at this stadium bill and conclude in 30 seconds that it will NEVER benefit the citizens of Minnesota in any way.

this reminds me of the childhood game of trying to get your way. You would ask mom who said it was OK if your dad said so. So you would tell dad its OK with mom if its OK with you. So they both assent to somethign they didnt want to, because neither wanted to be the bad guy. These stadium proponents are being worse than kids, with their incessant begging, first with the legislature, then at the city, making Zellers the bad guy one week, then the city council the bad guy the next week. When overall, there is VERY little support for this anywhere. PLEASE give it up already. Both city and state have better things to be working on. Its kind of hilarious on one hand, with their half baked duct taped bill with new revelations coming out almost daily of bad deals for the public, but now its getting old. ENOUGH ALREADY!

The Strib had a story earlier today which said there was a "buzz" around city hall regarding the stadium. It would seem the sound they heard was actually everyone snoring. The mayor can't even get 7 council members to sign a vague, non-binding letter.

Zygi Wilf, a New Jersey resident, is not entitled to nor deserving of this State's taxpayer money to use as a subsidy for his mutli-million dollar private business. He is not a good corporate citizen in any way and will continue to take, take, take from this community like he has been doing since becoming the 51% majority owner over six years ago. Enough is enough, it is time for this disfunctional and greedy organization to either put a fair financial deal on the table or sell to another owner who can give something back to the community that has been supportive and patient with this club.

"Council Members John Quincy and Don Samuels said they had already signed similar letters." ---- Just saw Don Samuels on TV and he said that this stadium could 'create long-term participatory jobs' (ie within the stadium). Everyone who can yell Beer Here, Get Your Overpriced Wilf Beer Here can start sending in their applications according to Samuels! I'm sure all of those 'participatory' Wilfare-created jobs are livable wage, health insured, pensioned, etc, right? WRONG!
