No matter what they do to the Saints I'm sure their fans would say it was worth it. Anything short of taking away the SB trophy is not enough. And what is with the draft picks!?! Losing two 2nd round picks is ridiculous. They should have lost 1st rounders. Let's face it the NFL wants the Saints to stay competitive, keep the trophy and screw the VIkes. NOT ENOUGH!

Pretty weenie if you ask this Viking fan! Two second rounders? Really? 500k? For a ball club worth a billion dollars? Ooooooooo WEAK!!!!!

So do the vikes get one of their second round picks and the team they (the aint's)played in the super bowl get the other??? They should.....

These are not enough consequences from stopping teams from doing this in the future. Ban anyone involved for life. You can bet the same thing is going on in the NHL. Last year 11 of the top 20 players were out with injuries at the same time?

Im trying to be objective (which isnt easy considering the Vikes were clearly affected negatively by the cheating)...with that in mind, suspending the head coach for a year is a good start. But two 2nd round draft picks!? Get real. At most this may negatively affect their chances in 2012...nothing beyond that. As a previous post alluded to, any team would trade a year of punishment/bad performance for a SB. At a minimum, the trophy does not belong in their case...

Every team just moves up a pick in the second round so the team behind the saints gets a bonus of moving up a spot huh.Typical.

A couple of guys are reviewing Saints games from 2009 thru 2011 looking for injuries. The BOUNTY Defense coach was at Washington in 2009 and Payton Manning was injured in that game. They claim that's what started Paytons neck problems.

I am a big Vikings fan and ware the tattoos to show you. I live down here, the Saints fans could care less about the suspensions, they have a trophy .The only way to get this to stop is take it away .And to you Mr. Goodell you need to look in your own closet before you judge otheres, to let your one sided refs get away with (looking the other way) and pound Favre the way they did and let them hide under the hood to watch what was supposed to be replays of a fumble on 4th and one , a dropped pass from Colston to set up the winning kick . What were they really looking at because it was not the same thing the rest of the world was watching ,maybe the were looking at you under that hood, look the other way boys .You need to take the hood away so we can see what and who they are seeing or looking at!

Once again lil Viking fans, you had 2 shots to exact revenge on my Saints. What happened?? You get beat on national TV on Thursday night with the same team yet again and then creamed on your own field this year. You lost that game period. Whe nPatriots left Farve bloody and bruised did you all whine then in 2010 of real cheaters? NO Remeber our offense is still intact and exacting revenge on the NFL. Our defense was pathetic overthose 3 years except when they played you all and the Falcons. Worry about your own team if they going to be in Minnesota or Los Angeles and if Adrian Peterson going to be 3 steps slower!! You all have no coach, no QB, No WR's, no stadium but yet you all want to comment on a team who demolish you all on your own field last year. Get a grip and worry about what the Bears, Lions, and Packers are doing leaving you all in the dust of the toilet section of the NFC north

ss454shawn; Right there is the best comment. The ref's are the ones that let the Saints do there thing. All the ref's in that game should be fired. The Saints should lose #1 picks for the next 4-years, and what is a $500.000 fine to a NFL team? I wish Childress would have had the B__LLS to go after Brees in the same way. Knocking Brees out would have been the same as knocking Favre out. The ref's then would have been forced to take control of the game. An undeserved Super Bowl for the Saints, its as simple as that. Tough too beat head hunting and HS referees in a game folks.
