This is a sweet article (no pun intended). But I honestly had to look and see if it was written in 2012. Today when I went to the coop, a quart of Minnesota syrup was approaching $30! That's because there hasn't been much of it this year. 80 degree days with temperatures in the 50's and 60's at night spell an end to maple syrup. For me it has been one of the several heart wrenching signs of the climate of the future. Here is what your friends down the road published: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2012/03/16/warm-weather-gums-up-maple-syrupseason/ It would be good journalism to recognize the strange weather we are having and how it has drastically impacted your main topic.
