Maybe he's gotten better since being released by all those other teams? At least he doesn't have a history of injuries like every other misfit we've added so far.

Hey Vikes, they did invent this new thing called the FORWARD PASS. How about a stud Wide Receiver! The Vikes lead the NFL in newly signed free agent has-been Fullbacks.

This is starting to become a joke. Not only do we need OL, DB, WR, and LB's but people are forgetting that we might not have AP for most of next season. The Steelers just announced Mendenhall would not play next year, and he only tore his ACL, and did it within two weeks of AP's tears. Remember, we are lucky that Chris Cook was acquitted, and Vikings made their recent decisions not even knowing if Cook would be back. I think there must be more to this than meets the eye. Cansomeone say stadium?

Vikings needs at the start of free-agency: WR, OL, CB, S, LB. Vikings probable needs at the end of free agency: WR, OL, CB, S, LB. But we did sign a TE and a FB. Anyone else see a big problem with that? I'm trying to keep the faith, but we're running out of time here.

Not STARTING to be a joke, this IS a joke. Either Spielman really is as clueless as some believe, or Wilf has given him marching orders to tank the team. It must be one of the above because this is getting ridiculous.

Did we need a fullback? Toby Gerhart did a fine job last season.

i finally understand what rick spielman is doing.they have 10 draft picks.round 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,7 and 2 compensatory picks from the leave of sidney rice and ray edwards.the fact that rice is due to make 8.6mil and edwards 5mil this season.that means the 2 compensatory picks most likely will be in the fourth round. Also, spielman leaking out that he likes claiborne more than kalil, is just trying tempt the other 31 teams into moving up and giving up draft picks just to move up, similar to falcons.if that is the case, then vikings will still have 1st round pick to draft kalil and most likely additional 2nd and 3rd round pick which gives vikings 12 picks.

Sweet...another high profile signing...at one of the few positions they're not desperate for help. Hope Spielman has a plan...other than putting a joke on the field. Doesn't look like this group is going to be contending for anything next year...except maybe the first pick in the 2013 draft. Nice selection Zig..who gets the next shot? Or will the team just return to the triangle of incompetency?
