Amazing how stupid people are in this state..Which is very surprising considering all of the major companies that have started here. You have people driving on the ice with 80 degree weather and then the tax payer has to bail them out? And you know must of them are complaining that the government should stay out of their "business".. What a joke.
I hope that local law enformcement is applying a dumb-dumb surcharge to the normal cost of recoverying a sunken vehicle.
If it's warm enough to wear a t-shirt and shorts, you shouldn't drive a truck on the ice! Here's your sign.
Warning signs you may want to consider before driving on the ice: 1. you had to run the A/C on the drive to the lake. 2. You passed a golf course full of people golfing in shorts on the drive to the lake. 3. You saw someone mowing their lawn on the drive to the lake. 4. You saw people in boats on open water just south of your destination. Durrrrrrrrrr!
The DNR officer said they are waiting for open ice to remove the vehicles. What exactly is open ice.
Yeah! What business does the government have trying to regulate the public's personal behavior? What makes the DNR think they know better than the average citizen!? Why doesn't Soucheray write something about our constitutional right to drive on any lake we want!?
Darwin illustrated. Hopefully insurance companies won't cover these ridiculously foolish acts, can't honestly call them accidents when they're bound to happen..
The ice is out already on Lake Owasso in Shoreview. It went out over the weekend. I can't believe anyone would drive on ice at this point.
This has virtually nothing to do with the weather being warmer. I has everything to do with the people being dumber.
Roads = cars & trucks... Lakes = boats and swimming... if you mix the two up then you need to go check yourself into a mental health facility for a tuneup.
