I'm sill not convinced Burnett should make the final roster. Noone should be handed a roster spot after a 99 loss season. Burnett did a pretty good job for us in 2010. If he can return to that form-great.

Gotta learn to throw a cartwheel before you learn to throw a baseball. That's how you use your legs to propel the ball, instead of throwing with just your upper body. Ask Tim Lincecum. When he uncorks a fastball at 96mph, he looks like he's launching himself into a standing aerial cartwheel. It makes sense when you learn that he was a talented gymnast as a kid. Thing is, even a big, tall guy can learn to throw a cartwheel, and suddenly they add all kinds of power without stressing their arm.

See that's just it. I am not saying Burnett should make the roster but you don't give up on guys like this. Sometimes you try something different and it just clicks, then you get confidence in it and pretty soon everything is different. Crain and Liriano both had a period where they had no clue and people were calling for their heads. Then they go down to the minors and figure things out and are great. Works the other way as well which is why Liriano and Crain have both worked their way out of slumps to be great but then have a hard time staying great. Anyone who has ever golfed can understand that. How often have you thought your golf swing was grooved for good? How many times have you wanted to throw your clubs in the lake. Hopefully, this is a long period of good throwing by Burnett cuz he could make a big difference
