Hopefully Dr. Galloway is or will be OK. This could also very well be something along the lines of issues with aging parent(s). If so, hopefully Galloway & family will be able to sort things out and all will be OK. A person doesn't always want to be suspicious and cynical. That said, the timing here might just be a little too coincidental. Could be Dr. Galloway was catching a lot of heck back home, said 'to heck with this' and got out before losing her recall election.

I always get suspicious when a Republican resigns without notice. Call me cynical.

Joedenabor - Somehow I figured the left would take the low road on this. Someone has serious health issues to deal with an the left attack them. SHAMEFUL1 --------------------------------- joe, I’m one of those people that you and your Tea party ‘friends’ classify as ‘lazy’ and ‘unmotivated’. Well, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Currently, my father is battling lung cancer. My mother was partially paralyzed by a series of strokes 6 years ago. Neither one of them drive anymore. My wife, my siblings and myself divide our time between our own homes and children and my parents home and their care. Their home is the single largest investment they have. But they can’t take care of it anymore. We’ve all agreed to keep my parents in their home at all costs. We juggle helping them out financially with the mounting medical bills, transporting them to go shopping, see the doctor and other thing they need along with any maintenance and upkeep on the house and juggling our own responsibilities. And you know what? Not one of use has used it as an excuse to quit our jobs or shrug off our responsibilities. And that’s why I’m so cynical of you Tea party types. You lecture us on how lazy we are and how we lack the basic motivation to be responsible, and then you up and quit your responsibilities at the drop of a hat. Sarah Palin did this and you idolize her. Now this woman does it and you defend her. As far as I’m concerned, it’s just another layer of hypocrisy from your party. Of course, unlike your representative or Sarah Palin, I can’t afford to quit my job at the drop of a hat because so many people depend on me.

falcon1677-------------Good for you, IF it is true. But, others choose to change their careers to take care of their ailing family member and you go after them. I stand by my first comment, SHAMEFUL!

It's unfortunate that a person has to leave a position for such reasons. I'm sure we all wish he well regardless of political ideology. On the other side this also improves the Democratic position in the recall election eliminating the incumbent advantage.
