There's only 4 possibilities for the problems the Wild are having. 1.The "sysytem", which I hear is only used by Pittsburgh, isn't suitable for these players. 2.Coach Yeo isn't capable of teaching the "system". 3.The players refuse to adopt the "system". 4.The "system" requires more effort than other "systems" hence the continuous whining about lack of effort. Whatever the reason, it isn't working and berating these guys publicly will only sour the whole locker room. And that leads me to conclude Yeo is in WAY over his head.

Take PMB to court and either force him to retire or have him declared a free agency. Or, better yet, have him arrested and sentence to one year in jail; that five-year contract turned out to be grand larceny.

@washbucket Yeo wasn't in over his head during the first 30 games...you know, before three of his top-six forwards were essentially sidelined for the year. So, I think your conclusions about Yeo are idiotic and reactionary. This team has no real talent at present--at least not up front. It has one first line wing (Heater) and one second-line wing (Seto). It has little else.

You would think that a team comprised mostly of AHL caliber players would be skating their butts off every night in hopes of getting an NHL level raise. I don't think that Yeo has the team in his corner and all of the bag skates won't do a bit of good. This is a repeat of last year with Richards.

I think it's time to give PMB and Latetodress the boot. Neither one has done anything for this team the last 2 seasons except take up cap space on the payroll. PMB needs to realize his hockey career is probably over due to concussion syptoms. Nothing personal, it happens in sports, and teams move on to someone else. Latetodress was a bust when we got him. Koivu will be back next season, but, I think he should reliquish the "C" to Heater or Cullen. Koivu is not a 1st line center. He is a 2nd or 3rd line center at best on any other team in the league. Minne needs to find a true first line center for next season.

You can't put an AHL team into the NHL. Seriously people, you are going to start in with Yeo and his system? It's unfortunate that many people who post here are so blinded by the trees that they can't see the forest. I think you are just complaining because you don't know what else to do. So, I'll help you out: The Wild are totally done this year. If you turn on a game (or God forbid you actually spend money to go watch them) just know it's over this season and root for a loss so we can get better draft position. Here's to a better next year!

The Wild brought back the original strength/conditioning coach to hopefully exorcise a lot of the injury demons that had been around during the Todd years. Looks like that was a whole bunch of fail.

And that is one of the reasons why I'm glad Fletcher and Leipold are sticking with Yeo. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do with a team with a little more talent next year.

I agreee, PMB, GL have been pretty usless. Are other teams nursing this many players? Cullen deserves the "c" he never ever gives up.

Tell me, mrdurdenumd, what strength and conditioning exercises would you do for concussions? The team came into this season in dramatically better physical shape than last year. I agree with bobo72. The Wild were a thin team to start the season and did not have the depth to handle the Bouchard and Latendresse and Koivu injuries.
