My first thought when I read this "Tsuyoshi Nishioka has a strained left pinkie and is day-to-day, Ryan said" was this must be a joke. After taking a deep breath I just understand this is simply adding injury to insult. If we EVER need a reminder of how incompetent Bill Smith was, just look at your pinkie finger.

Didn't Mauer have the neck issue last fall? So whatever happens to Mauer or Morneau Span "catches" too? The better facilities the Twins have the more frail they become. They should cut back to a small, dark workout room with a weight bench, medicine ball, stationary bike, and ex-prison guard as a trainer.

Why would you take a guy like Hollimon who just ripped up his labrum, and who's "best position is second base", and put him at third base where the throws are some of the toughest on the field?
