Sure, they missed Ricky Rubio, but energy and smarts were lacking, too.

I’m sorry, but I would trade him so fast before the 15th it would make your head spin. He just stands there on defense while guys go right past him. Or around him. Or through him. Repeatedly. He just stands there. Not helpful. And it’s not getting any better. And tonight, when we needed effort the most, it was worse. Just standing around. Sorry, but you’d see smoke behind my trade.

I agree, a trade for Steve Nash would be great. But It just doesn't make sense for Nash. Even with Nash, the team probably won't make the playoffs. He's not going to want to come here for 20 games. Get well Ricky, hopefully he'll be healthy in 6 months. This is like a punch in the gut!

The frustrating part of the loss tonight was that you watch the Hornets for about ten minutes and you realize they're a really awful team.

After the intensity last night, you could just feel the shock and sadness at Target Center this evening. Coach Adelman is saying the right things. And I believe our team will step up. They need a little time to adjust emotionally to the new situation. This was a huge blow. But they are strong and resilient and they have the right coach to keep things moving. We have already won more games than last year and we have seen what is possible. This is a setback, to be sure, but it can be overcome with effort and the smart, quality play that our guys are capable of.

It's a really tough job now, but this season is up to Kahn. He has to step up to the job. Maybe there's a D league player that can average 8 assists and shoot over 400% on 3 pointers.

Jaybar, you don't know what you're talking about. He is no more porous than either Ridnour or Barea on defense. His ability to initiate the offense and distribute has singlehandedly increased Love's production five points this year and made every other player better on offense. When Rubio is out of the game I loose interest. Stick a fork in them. Season's over. Let's hope Rubio comes back at full strength next year.

We're not talking about Rubio for god's sake.

Who are you (jaybar) talking about then? Can't be Ridnour, as he's the only guard that can shoot well on a regular basis. And his defense against other larger 2's, including Kobe the other night, though not lock-down, has been admirable.

Several questions? Why could Luke play such good defense Friday and so poorly on Saturday?..... What should we give up (if anything) for a stop gap point quard?... Rondo for Millicic (sp), D Williams, Luke... for Steve Nash?... Luke, Beasley,... for John Flynn?.... David Kahn... no answers here..... just questions....
