Old players get older with every game, young players get better.

i dont like to see Hutch go, but it was the right thing to do. I hope they tried to restructure the contract, but were unable...he would still be a good guy to have around at the right price. good luck, Hutch.

Now if we could just cut the most antiquated player on the vikings......The Dome!

Griffin is a complete bum and a major liability in the defensive backfield. Letting Hutchinson go will make the vikings horrible o-line even worse, 5-12 is the best the vikings can hope for in 2012 because no high profile free-agents want to play for this loser jinxed franchise that has not won a Super Bowl / World Championship in it's entire 52 year (and counting) and never will.

This is going to be interesting. Will the cuts result in some decent free agent signings or will the Vikings management mess this up? Stay tuned.

Hutch was a excellent left guard no doubt! He will be missed. Herrera was terrible. Griffin may find a home somewhere in the league. Now spend some money sign Landry, Nicks and a possible corner. I would like to Colston in Minnesota as well.

I can't disagree with any of the cuts -- time for them to move on and the Vikes to move on. Hutch can probably go catch on with a contender for the last few years of his career -- good for him! Herrera will also get picked up by someone and continue his career -- albeit at a more reasonable price tag.

Hutch was an awesome player in his prime and a class act. Herrera and Griffin are mostly forgettable. I hope we can fill some big holes through the draft and free agency - OL, CB, WR, S, and LB. I'm not a fan of Spielman, but I'm hoping for the best.

I'm sorry purplegimp but since when has the league expanded to 17 games in a season? I heard they were opting for 18 but that hasn't even happened out. 4-12 or 5-11 is what you mean. Not 5-12. SKOL!
