Would be great if this guy had a banner year.....24-27 homeruns, 85 RBI's......is this possible, or am I just dreaming??????

One thing about Doumit's hitting is that when he makes contact, he hits the ball hard. Its been fun watching him hit.

"That's the great thing about it, I finally got that guy who is a multipositioned guy who also catches," manager Ron Gardenhire said. "I've kind of been wanting that for a few years around here. It's good to have him here."----There you have it. This is Gardyspeak for "now I have a third catcher." Now there is no doubt that Butera is the backup catcher again. We get to watch him bat 150-200 times again this year, and go out 90% of the time again.

With Doumit on board there is absolutely no reason to carry 3 catchers...If you need the 3rd catcher call him up from AAA. Twins are not strong enough on the bench to carry 3 catchers!!

Doumit should explain this theory of his about catching and the toll it takes on ones body to Mauer.

I think DOUMIT probably is going to have a 15HR 70 RBI season if healthy.

Morneau was drafted as a catcher, why not just make him the emergency catcher? And don't tell me it's because of concussions. Doumit has had them too and he's fine. Besides, how often do you need your third catcher if the starter and/or back-up are healthy? Butera is a wasted MLB roster spot.
