Another sign that he's coming on was seen Friday in the rookie's 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Maybe Sacramento would take Johnson for Cousins now?

I'm glad Patrick isn't hyping Wes just because he's made a few shots recently. I get so sick of pens and mikes psycho-analyzing athletes -If I have to read about "confidence" anymore I'm gonna barf. I don't know what goes on between a guys ears, all I know is what I see on the court. Wes has a ways to go, no matter how nice his smile and disposition are. This team is finally winning and dialing up expectations. He played good tonight against the Lakers, but he only did what he SHOULD be doing on a regular basis - playing stout defense and hitting easy, open shots. That's not too much to ask for.

I watched the end of this game and saw Williams lose it all by himself.

I commented on a Wes column, but the little elves switched it to a Williams column in the middle of the night! Williams is the real deal.

That call Kobe got when he went right through Rubio at the end of the game was ridiculous. Should have been a charge. You saw Williams lose the game by himself? Seriously? There was no game if he wasn't there! Oh, and by the way, the man is a rookie! Lots of time to learn and grow. I also find myself really rooting for Wes. It is nice to see him starting to hit some shots. I can't figure out why he wasn't in the game at the end. I've suffered through a lot as a Wolves fan the last number of years. Wow, what an exciting team to watch. I don't care if they don't make the playoffs. With this core of very young players (Pek is 26), we could have some really fun years ahead.

I guess Kobe has a license to kill. He simply charged through Muskies all night. Relying on cold shooting WIlliams at the end was a dumb move. Why was Wes Johnson sitting at money time when he was a shooting lights out all game? Darko and Toliver were very costly at both ends as well. No Love No win.

"but he only did what he SHOULD be doing on a regular basis - playing stout defense and hitting easy, open shots. That's not too much to ask for." Wes has played stout defense all season. I'm sick of hearing everyone dog Wes simply because he isn't making shots. Do you only judge a player and what he brings to the team only by his shooting percentage?! He brings a different dynamic to this team and we need to let him learn his role going forward. Wes can make shots and he has in the past..look at the improvement we've seen from Love over his 2 years in his perimeter shooting. "-If I have to read about "confidence" anymore I'm gonna barf." Your tag is hoopdreams but it doesn't sound like you understand how this affects a players shot. Look at Love when he went through a shooting slump before the ASG. He's now gone on a tear and you can tell he's looking for his shot whenever he can get it.

The Wolves definitely missed Love on the boards, the Mpls Lakers had 18 offensive rebounds. Many went for easy put backs points. Also the Mpls Lakers got the long rebounds, where the Wolves normally are running back to defend the Lakers stayed up an got those rebounds. If not the Wolves win.

hoopdreams01Mar. 10, 12 9:26 AM

Hey randyratio, you're right. I don't "understand how confidence affects a players shot". That was my whole point. None of us understands it, so why does everyone talk ad nauseum about it? Lets talk about what we see on the court. Maybe I am too hard on Wes, but he's a 4th overall pick and we should expect big things - so should he. I root for him too, but we're fans, not his support group.

MJDokkenMar. 10, 1210:02 AM

So Patrick, I guess Love isn't the stiff you made him out to be in his rookie season. What was it you called him, the master of garbage time stats? Or something to that effect.
