Heh. If Vegas is about one thing, that thing is separating the tourist from his/her money. BOA Steakhouse and Sphago's are great if your goal is to see and be seen, and the buffet at the Rio appeals to you if standing in line for an hour just to have the privilege of standing in another line for another hour is your thing--great. Hit the publicized joints and be prepared to pay the price. But for the most part the food is mediocre and waaaaay overpriced. If you're sincerely interested in value try the brunch at the Paris. Classy and the variety is great. For my money the best food deal in Vegas was at the Barbary Coast (no longer in existence, unfortunately). The decor was pure 1950's and you half expected Bugsy Segal to come ambling in at any minute. But GREAT steaks and the service was exceptional.
