Common sense finally prevailed. Now what about those jobs?

If you willfully kill someone, whether in your home or not, you should be subject to an investigation.

To me, this is the worst part of the bill - "The bill also required Minnesota to recognize a weapons permit issued by any state, even those with no criminal background checks or training requirements. It would have made it harder for police to temporarily remove guns from volatile domestic situations." Otherwise I found much that I can agree with.

Dayton has chosen to side with criminals over law-abiding citizens. It's ridiculous to claim this law would result in cops being shot. Law abiding citizens don't shoot cops knocking on their doors. This law has been a complete success in 31 other states, yet Dayton chose to ignore that and leave citizens vulnerable to overzealous prosecuters, and from criminals' families lawsuits that can bankrupt citizens who must use self defense. Well, we are going to 'veto' Dayton in the the next election for this incredibly bad veto of a truly bipartisan law.

WHAT A PATHETIC worthless Gov, he vetoes the gun bill, he vetoes a voter id bill, he wants to unionize day care workers, he now says he will veto "teacher layoff" reform, and now he says he wants to raise taxes regardless of wheather or not the state needs the money. did I mention that he has NEVER worked one day in his entire life in the private sector?

Thank you Governor Dayton for showing common sense in vetoing this ridiculous bill and thank you for representing the rights of police officers, county sheriffs, and others members of the law enforcement community whose lives would be in danger if this bill were passed.

If the gov don't want these laws on the books fine, but it isn't going to change the way I handle a threat. I still will not retreat to a threat in my own house and I will not be handing over my guns during an emergency. I have these inherent rights even if the Gov. thinks that my rights will endanger law officials. Freedom is dangerous Gov and that is why we need these laws, to protect the individual.
