Francisco Liriano has been erratic since '06, when he was brilliant.

Hey Twins Fans - We got two Gardyisms in this article. "The ball came out of his hand good" and "scuffling". Should we start a pool on when we will hear "he's getting after it", "They had a real Cy Young out there today", "Battling his tail off"? What are your favorite Gardyisms!?

Let's hope Liriano is motivated by money. Because we know he's not motivated by success.

Liriano being motivated by money would not be a good thing for the Twins. They just might be stupid enough to believe that he finally turned the corner to sign him to a nice contract only to see him suck again for the next few years and make him untradeable. Maybe Frankie needs to be motivated by another talented pitcher? His best season was when he was battling Johan. Since that trade, the talent level of the remaining Twins starters has seemed to be that of Junior College sophomores.

I hope someone holds him accountable to doing his exercises and to be in shape...this seems to be the problem with all the Twins pitchers...out of shape!!!

One of my favorite Gardyisms: Ending sentences with "...and we'll go from there." As in, "We'll see if Nishi can field three-hop grounders this spring and we'll go from there."

Anderson is a huge part of the problem. He is a horrible pitching coach and his "pitch to contact" BS needs to be scrapped. They have to stop trying to make the players fit a system. Coaching players to enhance their strengths works better. The smug Twins will never get this though and much like Chili with the Vikes and his "Kick Ass Offense" will doom the team in the long run.

You've got a guy from a developing world country, Dominican Republic, who has already made $6 million (plus) in his career. I just don't think that money is going to motivate him, his baseball career has likely already set him for life granted he moves back home after he finishes pitching.

At least the Twins can trade him for some 27 year old AA player when they're 15 GB of Detroit in July.
