A top-5 draft pick is exactly what this team needs. Please do us all a favor and don't win any more games!

Here is a team SHOULD be and were BEFORE the trade deadline fighting for their playoff lifes.... Before the trade deadline the wild won 3 straight games and fought as hard as a team could fight on the road against Florida and went on to beat Boston and San Jose for 3 straight wins... No energy and 4 straight losses since the trade of long time d guy Schultz and Zanon...... It was nice of Colorado to not pour it on the Wild tonight, thank you .... Whats eating Gilbert Grape ? Not much going on with number 77

Those Fletcher trades are sure paying off. He must have the worst trade record of any GM in pro hockey.

They may lack experience, but at least they're slow and disorgnized.

Relax, this team is trying out a variety of players to see who might be part of the Wild's future. Hackett did a nice job after the fist two goals and he settled down. Like to see him play the majority of the remaining games. Remember it's only his second NHL game start. He gave up two big rebounds. On goal #1 his defencemen did not pick up the Avs standing right by the crease and #2 was a power play. The Avs goalie made some super stops. I saw a few better breakout passes. However we have a lot of need for lots of young offensive talent and consistency in lines. Next year looks to be better, two years from now better still, Then Lord Stanley, look out!! Go Wild!!!!!!

Playoffs? Playoffs? Please. Gas was $1.86 last time the WILD made the playoffs. Sad how MN consistently has the BOTTOM of the NHL every year.

Well, the streak goes on! They Wild have now been shutout 3 of the last 4 games...and 5 of the last 9. They are threatening to have one of the worst seasons in franchise history. The Wild finished with 68 points in their first season and 73 points in their 2nd season. The Wild have never finished with less than 83 points since then. And, the fewest goals in team history is 168, in season one. Right now they have just 143 goals with 16 games to go. Incredible!! I knew they wouldn't stay at or near the top of the pack when they rose to the top of the NHL in Mid-December. But, I sure didn't think they would COLLAPSE so far...to miss the playoffs and possibly become of the worst teams in franchise history...and one of the worst teams in the NHL. I can't remember ever seeing this team so bad that scoring ONE goal a game is a miracle!!!

Ican't, You are aptly named my friend. You can't imagine REALITY. 1st. The Wild did NOT win 3 straight games, they got destroyed by Dallas in between Florida and San Jose. 2nd. You neglect to mention the Wild lost 24 of 32 since Dec 13th with "long time d guy Schultz and Zanon".

We're currently drafting 6 and heading in the right direction. Number 2 pick overall would be a franchise high pick and we have the ability to reach that spot. Go Oilers, Habs, Canes and Isles !

siouxchamp, It might be time to drop the champ and just go with sioux. The last time ND were champs gas was $1.51 :-)
